What is a "Code Blue"?

A Code Blue is declared when winter weather conditions pose a threat of serious harm or death to people without shelter. Counties can also issue a Code Blue when temperatures are forecast to drop below 20 degrees for more than two days in a row.

We provide temporary shelter in designated “Warming Centers” for unhoused individuals when temperatures drop dangerously low or frozen precipitation is expected during the overnight hours.
